Former Andhra Pradesh chief minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chairman N Chandrababu Nayadu was arrested on corruption charges on September 9, 2023. The Crime Investigation Department (CID) has detained him in connection with a Rs 317 crore fraud in the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation. There was a skirmish between Nayadu and the police officers, and then he was detained. TDP supporters, on the other hand, voiced concerns about the lack of proof. CID has stated that they have proof and that everything is clearly stated in the remand report. Officers arrived at a party hall in Nandyal last night and seized Nayadu's arrest warrant. The police were unable to take him to custody because of objections from his followers. There was a scuffle between the cops and Nayadu.
