The Congress Party has distanced itself from DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin's and A Raja's remarks regarding 'Sanatan Dharma.' The Congress Party has said unequivocally that it believes in "religious tolerance" (equal regard for all religions) and has profound respect for the beliefs and faiths of all Indian groups, religions, and traditions. The statements accusing Udhayanidhi Stalin of inciting division and bigotry with his 'Sanatan Dharma' words created a political debate.
If we talk about this issue, the Congress Party is divided. Some members are in the side of the DMK leader but there are also some people criticizing his statement. Among those critics, BJP is also there. Amit Shah claimed that they show the hatred and "attack" to the culture and legacy for Hinduism by the opposition. Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) showed twit for the statement by Udhayanidhi Stalin and named it as a "threat".
